So what did Dimash do in 2016?  That was the year after winning the Grand Prix at the Slavianski Bazaar 2015, and before Singer 2017.

With no idea about his future as we know it today, to audiences as small as a highschool assembly, Dimash was already giving performances as excellent as if his audience were royalty. In April 2016, Dimash started his first headlined tour in Kazakhstan, which ran from April to December 2016, holding 25 concerts in 25 regions, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of independence of his country.

We’re so VERY VERY fortunate some of these performances were caught on camera by some fans — how lucky were those early dears ☺️ These super quality rare videos below were taken of the concert at Pavlodar City by @aiguliajumagulova

[From Dimash Kudaibergen Wikipedia ] Dimash named his tour Unforgettable Day, after his own song by the same name. His parents featured as guests on his tour who sang with him in some parts. His repertoire consisted of a wide variety of songs in various languages, including “SOS d’un terrien en détresse”, “Diva Dance” (from the movie The Fifth Element), “Adagio”, “Opyat Metel” (Russian: Опять метель), “Karatorgay” (Kazakh: Қараторғай), “I Only Love You” (Ukrainian: я люблю тільки тебе), “Karagim Ay” (Kazakh: Қарағым ай), “Kirmeshi Zhiyi Tusime” (Kazakh: Кірмеші жиі түсіме), “Kinalama” (Kazakh: Кінәләма) and “Belovezhskaya Puscha” (Russian: Беловежская пуща). Kudaibergen’s own songs performed during this time included “Unforgettable Day”, “Korkemim” (Kazakh: Көркемім), “Tugan Zher” (Kazakh: Туған жер), and Kudaibergen’s original rendition of the Kazakh folk song “Daididau” (Kazakh: Дайдидау).
